Join us for 75 minutes of connection, research, meditation and dyadic practice to build community in regards to the 25 IDG skills and qualities and the particular potential of compassion among them: Our focus for October 2025: RELATING - Appreciation: How can a (self)-compassionate attitud e support this IDG quality? Feel warmly welcomed, whatever your experience is! We look forward to explore together the potential of Empathy & Compassion - in IDG framework terms the "Ability to relate to others, oneself and nature with kindness, empathy and compassion and address related suffering,” nested in Dimension 3 - Relating: “Caring for others and the world”: https://www.innerdevelopmentgoals.org/framework . Empathy and Compassion can be practised and understood as a subterranean stream of water that can nurture many other qualities and skills. Background: The idea of this IDG hub/network was born in the process of preparing for the IDG Gathering in February 2023, in which Chris Germer, co-creator with Kristin Neff of the Mindful Self-Compassion Programme (MSC) and co-founder of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (CMSC), and MSC teachers around the world offered a session to the Global IDG community. We had the opportunity to learn how self-compassion is a resource that supports life’s inevitable difficulties and sufferings in communities and societies e.g. in Vietnam, Israel and Kenya.
