Focus for December 2024: IDG Skill: EMPATHY AND COMPASSION - How can a (self)-compassionate attitude support the practice of all IDG skills? The Inner Development Goals (IDG) Global Empathy & Compassion Hub / Network meets every month to practice (self-)compassion and one of the currently 23 IDG skills. As a team that practices collaboration, Galia Tyano Ronen (Israel), Lotta Adelstal (Sweden), Susan Gitau (Kenya), Mirjam Luthe (Germany) and in the East Asia friendly time zone Ha Tran (Vietnam) started this hub in 1/2023. About the "IDG Global Empathy & Compassion Hub": This practice space each month evolves around the IDG skill and attitude of “Empathy & Compassion ”, namely the " Ability to relate to others, oneself and nature with kindness, empathy and compassion and address related suffering.” It is nested in Dimension 3 - Relating - in the IDG Framework: “Caring for others and the world”: https://www.innerdevelopmentgoals.org/framework We meet monthly in a 75-minute session in an interactive practice format. And we would like to invite you as a potential co-facilitator, as we move ahead. Each session will focus on one IDG skill; we will practice self-compassion both with a guided practice and deep/compassionate listening, as we explore the relevance of that particular skill.
