What Does Air&Aerosols Inform Us? & How IDGs Can Help Address Air Pollution Crisis? The Aerosol Science Research Center (ASRC), National Sun Yat-sen University and the Taiwan Kaohsiung IDG Hub are organizing “2024 International IDG Forum: From Aerosol Sciences Toward a Sustainable Earth” to be held on the 11th of November in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., co-organized by the IDG Asian Wisdom Network and several other organizations. [Why IDGs? What’s the correlation among IDGs, aerosol sciences and sustainable development? ] IDGs (Inner Development Goals) have gained increasing awareness by the global societies in the past three years. Organization associated with the United Nations and Europen Unions have started promoting iDGs, aiming to facilitate the achievement of 17 UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). Aerosols, fine particulate matter suspended in the air, though invisible, are nearly ubiquitous in our daily lives. Through this IDG Forum, we hope to bring the attention to all participants to comprehend the close connectedness among aerosols, climate, public health and diseases, to vividly realize the oneness and to seek to effective strategies to cope with a variety of ecological crisis that Earth is facing, including air pollution and climate chances. This IDG event also invites industrial partners to share their experience in promoting ESGs, and speakers to address how IDGs can act as a helpful tool to facilitate the transformation to realize sustainability on Earth.
