Our society is facing an epidemic of loneliness, and this is causing untold suffering among masses of people and a devastating number of suicides every year. This article gives some details on this: US surgeon general Vivek Murthy: ‘Loneliness is like hunger, a signal we’re lacking something for survival’ What might be an effective antidote to this epidemic of loneliness? One possibility is given in the programs outlined in the Inner Development Goals initiative, especially the categories for Collaborating and Relating. There is quite a number of psycho-technologies that can help, including authentic relating, circling, etc. In this event, we will summarize the Inner Development Goals and the Collaborating and Relating categories and our group will do some of these practices during this session. In addition, one idea for elements that we might bring into this an event would be considering how we each might work to connect more with people in our everyday lives. There are others in our lives or who live nearby to each of us who are likely suffering from loneliness. So it is not just that the event attendees actively co-presence as an antidote to loneliness, but also that event attendees would also do some sort of brainstorming or to-do lists for reaching out to people and taking it upon ourselves to become the embodiment of loneliness antidote for the benefit of their various potential human connections, including those we are already somewhat acquainted and those they have no
