Our society is currently suffering an epidemic of division, intolerance, and "othering." The atrocities in Israel/Gaza have produced a new wave of polarization that further exacerbates the rifts already tearing communities apart. How can this trajectory be reversed? One way might be a roadmap to help people develop the inner capacities needed to deal with our increasingly complex set of challenges. A set of practices that could help us embrace complexity rather than reduce it to black and white caricatures. Practices built around core domains of the human experience such as Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting . The Inner Development Goals is a worldwide initiative founded in 2020 to help construct and roll out that roadmap. With 1.500 live attendees at their summit in Stockholm in October, and 450+ global hubs bringing the IDGs to life in a local setting, it's beginning to have an impact around the world. On Tuesday, December 5 , at our next DTN Live Monthly Meeting , we'll have a chance to hear from three prominent figures in the IDG movement, fresh from their most recent Summit in October. Tomas Björkman , applied philosopher, social entrepreneur, founder of the Ekskäret Foundation , and Chair of the IDG Board. Author of groundbreaking books such as The World We Create and The Nordic Secret (together with Lene Andersen), Tomas is also a member of The Club of Rome , and co-founder of Perspectiva and the Emerge media platform.
