In this Gathering we will dive into the tough questions around how to actually bring about the deep leadership transformation that is demanded of our organizations and institutions if we are serious about reaching the Global Goals in this decade. This exploration will look at concrete examples of transformative learning journeys for sustainable development. We will explore experiences from leadership programs aiming at effecting change for individuals, organizations and systems in a direction that has a multiplying impact on fulfilling the 2030 Agenda. Examples will be drawn from UN programs, the Ashoka network and other cross-sector experiences. The Gathering will host a panel of leaders who work hands on with sustainable development through areas such as humanitarian and disaster relief, poverty alleviation, environment and climate action, social innovation and systems change. We will explore critical questions around what the role of leadership training programs can be, what makes them effective and how to ensure that individual learning is actually transferred into the ambitious desired outcomes of systems transformation.
